Review:
“A spark of rebellion is all it takes to Defy The Night” is the tagline on the cover of the first book in The Defy The Night series. That tagline and the fact that I loved Brigid Kemmerer’s previous series had me up way too late to finish this book. We have a young girl who is desperate to continue the work her parents did as “Robin Hood” type characters in a kingdom that is plagued by unexplained fevers. Her parents were unexpectedly killed one night, and she was the survivor and is teamed up with a character called Wes. Of course, Wes is not who he says he is, and when Tessa finds out the truth, she may have finally found a way to solve the fevers and get equal treatment for all. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this first book and am sure the rest of the series will be just as good. Stay tuned for reviews for books two and three later this month.
