Review:
The Mime Order is the second book in The Bone Season series, and this is my second read through the series; having read book one and it being a bit of a slog and now reeling from rereading book two, I would tell anyone not to give up until you read book two then if you want to walk away. I say that cause you need the setup of book one to understand the awesomeness that plays out in the second. Paige has come back to the seven dials and is desperate to share that the Republicans are on their way to take over Scion. She even goes so far as to attempt to spread the word in a penny dreadful type of pamphlet. Then, the head person of the gang is killed, and a competition to take over will be playing out. The twists of this competition or battle make this second book so epic, and the plot twists that fall out from it set you up for the next book you want to dive into to see how things play out between the warden, Paige, and Jaxon.
