I have the privilege of reviewing an Advanced Reader Copy of Fall of Ruin and Wrath out September 2023 from Bramble and imprint of Tor. Jennifer L. Armentrout is well known for her ability to write a well-scripted romance balanced nicely with a compelling story; this book is no exception. In her newest book, she has delivered a compelling story with a protagonist who steals the show with a determined character and sass. The mysterious Thorne creates the well-known enemies-to-lovers and hate-at-first dynamic to set the stage for a slow burn steamy romance. Calista is a gifted mind reader, but as we soon learn, there may be more to her than meets the eye. Hence the reason she caught the mysterious thornes attention. What ensues is this story will soon be a battle for life, love, and to find out the truth. The world-building in this first book is on par and kept me engaged throughout the story; I am eager to see what happens in the falling installments.
