Review:
A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire is the second book by the widely popular author Jennifer L. Armentrout in the Blood and Ash Series. I choose to listen to these as audiobooks, and boy, am I glad I did. The narrator pulls into the story and doesn’t let up. Each chapter entranced me as the story unfolded. In this second book, we have more information about Hawke (castill) and our not-so-maiden Poppy as she learns more about the alantians, what it truly means to ascend, and the marriage she is unprepared for. It’s a steamy adult novel, so be prepared for the spice cause it is on fire. Jennifer’s books are so easy to like as she does the best balance of romance with an amazing story. Neither has to take a step back nor does one overpower the other. I thoroughly enjoy this series as it unfolds, and I am ready for the next one.
