Nick the Firedog will worm his way into the hearts of your family in this true story. Nick is an abused pit bull puppy abandoned tied to a fire hydrant. A firefighter finds the puppy and adopts him. Pitbull has a rep, and it is not without its merit, but every dog deserves a chance to prove themselves better than that rep. Nick goes on to help other dogs by bringing awareness to the sad state of various dogs left on the streets every day. An excellent book to share with children and help out a worthy cause at the same time. Easy to follow for young children, a tremendous real-life story, and the opportunity to see online and if you live close enough to meet this wonderful dog. Everyone likes a feel-good story, and this one does not disappoint.
