A quest for vengeance that will unleash Hell itself... And an intoxicating romance. Emilia and her twin sister Vittoria are streghe - witches who live secretly among humans, avoiding notice and persecution. One night, Vittoria misses dinner service at the family's renowned Sicilian restaurant. Emilia soon finds the body of her beloved twin...desecrated beyond belief. Devastated, Emilia sets out to find her sister's killer and to seek vengeance at any cost-even if it means using dark magic that's been long forbidden. Then Emilia meets Wrath, one of the Wicked-princes of Hell she has been warned against in tales since she was a child. Wrath claims to be on Emilia's side, tasked by his master with solving the series of women's murders on the island. But when it comes to the Wicked, nothing is as it seems...

Review

Emila and her twin sister Victoria belong to a family of witches secretly living among humans on the island of Sicily. Their family runs a local restaurant where the girls both work. Just 18 years old, they have grown up hearing stories about the lore surrounding the wicked, who are forever chained to hell, never to walk the earth again. Both were a protection amulet to keep them safe from the wicked. After tragedy strikes, Victoria dead Emilia can not rest until she haunted down the evil that killed her twin. What ensues is a tell steeped in truths that uncover dark secrets, dark bargains, and horrors that Emila thought were only scary bedtime stories. I thoroughly enjoyed the character in this story, and the narrator brought the story to life so much more than if I read it. I can’t wait for the sequel.
