In this riveting series opener, a telepathic girl must figure out why she is the key to her brand-new world before the wrong person finds the answer first.

Twelve-year-old Sophie has never quite fit into her life. She’s skipped multiple grades and doesn’t really connect with the older kids at school, but she’s not comfortable with her family, either. The reason? Sophie’s a Telepath, someone who can read minds. No one knows her secret—at least, that’s what she thinks…

But the day Sophie meets Fitz, a mysterious (and adorable) boy, she learns she’s not alone. He’s a Telepath too, and it turns out the reason she has never felt at home is that, well…she isn’t. Fitz opens Sophie’s eyes to a shocking truth, and she is forced to leave behind her family for a new life in a place that is vastly different from what she has ever known.

But Sophie still has secrets, and they’re buried deep in her memory for good reason: The answers are dangerous and in high-demand. What is her true identity, and why was she hidden among humans? The truth could mean life or death—and time is running out.

Review:

Keeper of Lost Cities a book series that focuses on the mysterious life of Sophie Foster, an elf who once thought she was human. Keeper of lost cities is a fantastic middle-grade series that does not hold back on the page count. I have all these books, and they take up a lot of retail shelf space. The young girl inside me is screaming yes, big books with unforgettable characters, a mysterious group, a young lady who knows nothing about her powers or the world she now lives inhabits. Sign me up to read this. I reread the first book multiple times as I am determined to read them all at some point and always have to restart. Here hoping I keep the streak going this time.
Keeper of Lost Cities is an action pack enjoyable story with clues to be uncovered right along with Sophie as she discovers her life and powers among the students of the fox fire academy. They hopefully accept her as one of them. And her attempted kidnappings by the black swan and what is buried inside her. She knows nothing that may destroy or save the world.
In each book, we learn more about the lost cities, the powers Sophie has, the creatures that live in this world, and who she can’t trust. Pick up this series today and settle in for a fantastic adventure.
