How Was My Week?

It’s May 4th, 2024, which means it’s Star Wars Day and International Scrapbooking Day. For Star Wars Day, I am just wearing a shirt I made last year that says May 4th Be With You and has Baby Yoda in the middle. For International Scrapbook Day, that means sales. I am not aiming to shop; I own a lot of scrapbook stuff, but it also means special projects. So, I am hopping around YouTube to see what various creators are sharing and bookmarking any projects I want to tackle down the line. I will also be working on a Steampunk Fantasy album with Stamperia Sir Vagabond in Fantasy World paper line – google that it is a pretty incredible paper line. Bookish this week, hubby and I stained the bookshelf he created for me a few years back, and we redid the countertop that is next to it. There are plans to add smaller shelves on top of this counter as it tends to be a catch-all for whatever and gets cluttered. The Lawn project should start on Monday. Our neighbor is also scheduled for the same day, so the corner on my street will be busy this week. Book Club was this past Friday, and I tried hard to read the book on the schedule, but it did not work for me. But I am very excited because we have chosen to do Mad Honey by Jodi Picoult. I love her books, so I am sure this one will be a big hit, at least for me. It’s the start of the month, so I’m planning out any buddy reads I signed up for and series I want to work on this month. I hope you have a great reading week.

  1. It sounds like last week was quite productive for you! It’s too bad the last book club pick didn’t work out for you. It happens sometimes, doesn’t it? I hope you love Mad Honey. I’ve heard good things about it. I’ve been wanting to read Iron Widow and hope you like it. And I’m really curious about Brigid Kemmerer’s books. I hope you are having a great week!

  2. I’ve got Iron Widow on my current shelf too, but I’m not sure I’ll be able to get to it before I have to return it to the library. Hopefully I can! I hope you enjoy these books!

  3. Okay, I’m trying this again using a different browser. We’ll see if it lets me comment this way! Mad Honey by Picoult is one I want to read. You got some good looking books this week! I tried Bookly, but it seems to want you to pay and has constant ads if you don’t. Plus I can’t figure out how to transfer Goodreads info, so I’ll just enjoy your graphics for now!

  4. I haven’t ready a Jodi Picoult book in awhile, but I do enjoy her books. Mad Honey is on my wish list. Hope you enjoy it. Have a great week!

  5. I love the sound of your Star Wars shirt! Every year, I wear my “Metaphors Be With You” shirt to school, and my high school kids hate it (or at least pretend to) 😂 I have to check out the Bookly app! It looks like such a fun way to track weekly reading!

  6. Sounds like you and your husband are pretty handy at DIY! I hope you enjoyed May 4 (and May the fourth be with you, too!) and International Scrapbooking Day. Good luck with all your projects, and your reading challenges.
