THE GOOD LUCK GIRLS

The country of Arketta calls them Good Luck Girls—they know their luck is anything but.

Sold to a “welcome house” as children and branded with cursed markings.

Trapped in a life they would never have chosen.

When Clementine accidentally kills a man, the girls risk a dangerous escape and harrowing journey to find freedom, justice, and revenge in a country that wants them to have none of those things. Pursued by Arketta’s most vicious and powerful forces, both human and inhuman, their only hope lies in a bedtime story passed from one Good Luck Girl to another, a story that only the youngest or most desperate would ever believe.

It’s going to take more than luck for them all to survive.

Review

Good luck Girls is an addictive story surrounding the plight of a group of young women working in what can only be summed up as a brothel. One of the girls kills her patron on her first night was follows is a dangerous run that all hangs on a story that will get them to safety. What makes the story is the magical tattoos the girls are marked with that burn when you cover them up. A lot of heart is buried in this story with things that maybe be triggering, but it is a story that grabs you from the first page. I listened to it as an audiobook in anticipation of its sequel out soon. Good luck girls is a fantasy western that contains all the good stuff like adventure, heists, stand-offs, and magic. IF you are in the food for a sister story, this may be the one you need.
