Welcome to Stellar Spirits, where hilarious magical hijinks blend deliciously with sweet small-town romance...

After an injury destroyed his career, Kieran longs to return to his life as a spy in the capital. When his best friend's mother offers a risky solution, he seizes it, even though it means helping the woman he yearns for and resisting a temptation he may no longer be able to fight.

Nora's living her dream, running a successful tavern in her hometown, until a brawl shatters her hard-earned success. With her shelves bare, and her signature spirits spoiled, she has no choice but to accept help from her brother's best friend-her childhood crush who rejected her.

But the problems don't end; they multiply. Soon, weird accidents and strange mishaps pile up, until Nora fears she's been cursed. With debts mounting and only mocktails left to serve, will she overcome the hardships, or be forced to close the tavern doors for good?

Perfect for fans of cozy fantasy, Magic and Mocktails serves up sweet romance, laugh-out-loud humor, quirky animal sidekicks, and tight-knit friendships across fantasy races. Grab your favorite mocktail and prepare to be enchanted...

A Cozy Magical Romance Set in a Chaotic Fantasy Tavern

Magic and Mocktails feels like walking into a cozy fantasy tavern expecting warm lighting, soft music, and maybe a cute little healing arc… and instead immediately realizing the building is held together by emotional damage, questionable magic, and pure spite.
Nora is just trying to survive. Not thrive. Not flourish. … keep the tavern from collapsing, the magic from acting feral, and her life from fully combusting in front of witnesses. She’s got that “if I ignore it long enough, it might stop happening” energy, except the universe is absolutely not ignoring her back.
And then Kieran shows up like a bad decision wrapped in broody silence and unresolved history. The kind of man who doesn’t walk into a room, he re-enters your emotional ecosystem and ruins the climate. He’s all restraint and tension and “I left this place for reasons I refuse to unpack,” except the place is very much unpacking him anyway.
Their dynamic is basically two people standing inches apart, pretending they’re not actively thinking about every moment that brought them back to this exact point. Nothing is resolved. Everything is loaded. Every conversation has a subtext so loud it should be arrested.
And the tavern? The tavern is not a cozy backdrop. It’s a chaotic little ecosystem of magical accidents and personality disasters, where even the furniture feels like it has opinions. Things break, magic misfires, emotions spill out like overpoured drinks, and somehow that becomes normal.
There’s romance in here, technically, but it behaves less like a gentle arc and more like a slow, inevitable collision. The kind where you can see it coming from miles away and still don’t move out of the way because, honestly? You want to see what happens when it hits.
It’s cozy fantasy, but the cozy part is slightly singed at the edges. It’s warm, but unstable. Like a drink you absolutely should not trust but are going to finish anyway because it tastes like nostalgia and poor choices.
By the end, you don’t really feel like everything is neatly solved. You feel like you’ve just left a tavern at closing time, slightly dizzy, emotionally implicated in things you didn’t agree to, and already missing the chaos a little.
