Review:
A new, addicting, romantic world that I couldn’t help but fall in love with. K.A. Linde’s writing shines in this fast-paced, action-packed story about a young woman discovering she may be more than just a human in a monster’s world — and that magic does exist. I loved living in this alternate New York where Linde painted a vivid picture of a world ruled by monsters. I found it quite refreshing to read about a world where Monsters and Humans have a treaty of sorts to keep things in balance; I also like books that include an incredible library, and this one is no exception holly climbing books shelves, magical wards that incorporate a identify mark of the warlock who wields them, and steamy romance between a human and monster or is our little thief a monster herself. The very definition of what I deemed a monster changed in my mind when I read this book, and I am so glad it is not a stand-alone book but a series.
