How Was My Week?

This week, we started some exciting projects at my house; we installed new flooring and pointed in the slate together floating floor when we bought the house in 2006, and it is a lovely light brown. Well, in 2024, we decided we wanted new flooring of the same type, but you don’t have to lay the foam pad under this one, which is a dark brown-looking color. We also recently had a landscaping company estimate for new grass, a sprinkler system, removing some bushes, etc., so my yard is getting a much-needed makeover. I am thrilled and excited about that. So, I have not gotten as much reading due to helping install the flooring. We are doing it in small sections at a time as it covers the entire downstairs of our home, and there is a lot of area to do and things to move around. I hope you had a creative, reading-filled week.

  1. ooo I see Sorcerer to the Crown on a couple of those lists and I LOVED that one. Renovations are fun to plan and great to have finished, but while they are happening it can be a lot of work.

  2. Good luck with the home improvement! It sounds exciting and I’m sure all that work will be worth it once it’s done. Looks like you’re doing a great job with your reading challenges as well, I’m trying to finish the series I’ve started too. It’s slow going, I never knew how many series I’ve started that I’d forgotten about!

Home renovations are a lot of work, but it feels so good when they’re done. I love a freshening up! How exciting that you’re doing a garden makeover, too! Have a lovely week!

Home renovations can be time consuming and hard work, but they are worth it when all is said and done. I hope everything goes well with the flooring installation and landscaping! I have big dreams for what I want to do with our house, but we’re only still in the dreaming phase.

I am so glad you enjoyed Sorcerer to The Crown. I would like to read that one someday. I liked her Black Water Sister and have been wanting to read more by her. Your current reads all sound really good too. I really wish I could read all the books I want to read at once! There are just so many!

I hope you have a great week, Jan!
