A dragon took my brother.
I’m going to get him back.---
My entire world changes when a scheme-gone-wrong results in my brother being taken by a dragon.
I’ve followed them into a strange and dangerous world filled with magic and enemies, but its handsome king has promised to help me hone powers I never knew I had.
Can he help me find my brother, or will I lose my heart—and everything I ever knew—in the process?
Review:
The Chaos Weaver is the first book in a series about a girl whose brother is kidnapped by a dragon, and in her attempt to save him, she is thrown into a world that she only heard about in fairy tales. Magic exits, dragons are honest, and our MC has a formidable power she wants nothing to do with. I was engrossed from the first page of this new series, never having read anything by this author. I wasn’t expecting the romance we got later in the book, and to be honest, I knocked off a star as I could not stand the love interest’s pet name for our main character. It made me cringe each time I read it. The biggest thing this story has going for it is you instantly like the main character. Her determination and love for her brother are endearing, and you want to know more about how they came to where they are in life—thieving from the rich to feed themselves to the point where they are desperate to take on an insane mission with those they barely trust. The cliffhanger at the end is a nail bitter and leaves you eager to know how things will play out. Still, again, I could have done without the romance, and I enjoyed reading more about the chaos weaver magic and those horrible beasts and how the king will help save the brother and rid our MC of her magic. She hates it so much.
Love the cover. Are you planning to read the next one since the cliffhanger left you wondering, even though you didn’t like the romance that much? Thanks for the review!

I not sure the author had the romance at the very end and a sex scence which is fine but the nick name she used “little one” made me cringe so much. Little one is not what you call the person your going to have sex with it made me cringe so much. So i not sure i can commit to reading another book with that in it. Thought i am curous to see how things play out so maybe i can just skip that part of the story it hard to say.
Yeah, the “little one” thing would creep me out a bit too.
