How Was Week?
This week was primarily spent reading, and nothing too exciting was on the home front. I finished two books that I rated pretty low, so I did not do formal reviews. I made a review for myself on good reads, but I don’t like saying bad things about books. I instead share what I love rather than what I do not. The books that were not fabulous for me were The Djin Waits for a Hundred Years and The Fairy, The God, and The Gumiho. Both were just blah. I read them all through, but they did not wow me and felt flat or predictable. I did start Dungeon Crawler Carl as I got a copy from the publisher, and boy, is it an entertaining read, so watch for my review for the first books in the series. The whole series is available on Kindle Unlimited, but a publisher picked up the book after being self-published and gathered quite a following. It is billed as Ready Player One meets Dungeons and Dragons. Have you read it yet or seen the book? Let me know in the comments. I hope to finish Court this month and will continue reading the books for the Jennifer Armentrout series. I also have my library book club book, The Great Alone, by Kristin Hannah, to read later this month. I hope you’re having a great last few days or weeks of your summer.

I’m like you, I don’t like to say bad things about books, so that’s why I DNF instead of struggling through if I’m not enjoying. And then I might say why I DNF, but it’s more personal issues with the book usually, as opposed to saying bad things about the book itself. Hope you have a better reading week this week!
We read A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder for COYER book club last year I think. Berls and I buddy read the rest of the series for #SIAM. I liked it. Mystery tends to be my favorite category with analyzing information and some kind of conclusion. The current uncertainties in the world make that format appealing.
