How Was My Week?

This past week, I intended to have five books to share that I reviewed, but I ended up DNF two of them. One was A fate inked in blood, and the other was Greensleeves. A Fate Inked in Blood is the fairy loot adult read-along for this month, and I read up to the last one hundred pages, but there was just way too much romance in my fantasy book for me to care about finishing it. I did read the recap on Friday, so I know what happened. Greensleeves, while a promising novel about a boy Dryad again, was more romantic than the plot, but I did find the romance sweet, the magic system to be unique, and the fact that we have a boy named Dryad, which is unheard of to be an interesting concept but just not for me. My one and only son turned 20 on Tuesday; wow, it is unreal that I have been a mother for 20 years. So we will have a celebration for that this week he is on spring break from college so he probably celebrate all week with his friends. That is for me this week. I hope you have a fantastic reading week.

  1. Too bad about the two DNF’s. I had one this week, but better to set it aside than finish a book you are not enjoying. Congrats to your son, I hope you have a fun celebration.

  2. I really hate it when a books is a DNF – but there are just so many other books that we could read. Imagine, if you were watching a TV show or a movie that was not to your liking, would you stay with it or find something else to watch? Your son is 20! That is great. Enjoy your celebration with him.
