Hurricane Wars is a lovers-to-enemies tale that is the backdrop to a horrible war, and we have steampunk vibes with dragons sprinkled in. Our two main characters are from different sides of this war: the dark and the light. Our female character learns she is a long-lost light weaver, and to save the world, her long-lost family chooses to marry her in a political alliance with the night lord. There is a lot of fantastic banter in this beautiful debut, the romance brewing underneath all the hate is slow and steamy, and the way they try so hard not to fall in love is epic. I especially like the dragons sprinkled into this epic novel and hope to see more of them in the forthcoming books. The magic is unique as we have a dark and light force that will save or destroy the world. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of reading this book.
