Leads and Lynxes is the kind of urban fantasy I like reading, the kind that takes real-world situations and throws a fantasy twist on them. In Leads and Lynxes, our main character Kylie is determined to make her path away from the legacy that she has been born into. She wants to make a name on her own merits, and what better way than to ask a magical tree to give her the scoop on a big story. Kylie sees from the tree gives her a clue, and now it up to her to make it sprout. This book has it all gargoyles, phoenixes, hot attraction, and a mystery to be solved. I was on the edge of my seat listening to this as each clue uncovered, you were drawn more into this mystery, and you even encounter some danger with a vampire. The author has created a unique world that I can wait to read more about what may or may not be happening to Kylie’s parents.
