My Review
If you loved the Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare, then this book will be a nice treat for you. I love the element of not really knowing why her Aunt wants her to come to Alaska, and how you get just a bit of the story as you read along. I love the light romance element between Emma and Kade — not too over the top, but just enough to keep you interested.
I also love how the writer reveals just enough information about this new world, how Emma suddenly finds herself a part of it without being totally overwhelmed, and without a bunch of information that it distracts you from the story. Bonus points for ending the story on a cliff hanger, because I am totally going to hunt down the next book and devour it; so watch for my review of Descent (Hidden Wings 1.5) and Broken Wings (hidden wings 2).
